Anxiety and Panic Have Seized the Formerly Smug Nato Western Elites
Before I left the USA in 2004, I asked myself, “Is America redeemable?” And the answer I came up with, was ‘no’. While the Western leaders put on a brave face, in fact, they are increasingly anxious and panicking, as they lose control, not just of the situation but of the narrative as they pull the wool over the eyes of their people.
When Things Are Out of Control, Withdraw
I was also introduced to Confucian basics in a little Zen group one day seminar. I was struck by the dictum, “When things are out of control, the wise man withdraws, conserves energy, and waits for conditions to change”. That is just what I did. I came to Asia, stayed for days, weeks, months in monasteries and temples, facing my own wounds and trauma, both familial as well as those inflicted by a very toxic society.
The Western leaders are collectively so habituated to living off the wealth of others, through centuries of colonialism and imperialism, that only their loss of status and total social breakdown will create the space before anything will change. They need the harsh treatment of existential reality so as to result in a ‘sadder but wiser’ social milieu
Covid Failed to Bring about an Awakening in Most People
I naively thought that the Covid lockdown would force people to do some introspection and inner development. Instead, it only released their inner demons.
They Completely Misread Russia
Russia’s problem all along has been that it has been too kind. Recall that even Marshall Zhukov said, “We have saved Europe from fascism–and they will never forgive us”. And so it is. The level of hostility towards Russia, which Western leaders work tirelessly to instill towards Russia is higher than even during the post WWII Cold War Era.
It’s reached the point where Emanuel Macron, the former Rothschild Banker turned “Little Napoleon”, thinks that France should join the fray in Urkaine to defeat Russia. They ‘punish Russia’ by outwardly refusing to buy Russian gas, only to see their own economies sink And they actually think that NATO can defeat Russia. They also think that Russia plans to invade Europe, when for years, the Western Countries’ leaders snubbed Russia’s attempt to join Europe.
But the thing is, the Collective West’s myopia, its utter narcissistic, dualistic thinking, self centered mindset, means that it doesn’t understand the nature of reciprocity, or as Chalmers Johnson put it in his seminal book, ‘Blowback’. What comes around goes around.
Western Leaders, and their Dualistic Delusions of Their Inherent Superiority
The English speaking countries, the UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the so called ‘5 Eyes’, think they can violate the law of cause and effect. They literally think they can get away with murder. And as a result, the leadership rigged the game against not just their own people, but against the whole world outside of Borel’s ‘Garden’.
They thought that they would destroy their adversaries by blockade/sanction. Instead, they have only isolated themselves. They have created a degenerate Western ‘civilization’ with no future. That is why the former French African colonies are kicking the French out of their countries.
The Antidote: Cultivate Wisdom and Compassion
Nonetheless, I am taking the lead from Kuan Yin, the Bodhisattava, the popular Enlightenment Being or Chinese ‘Goddess of Compassion’, who vowed to free the denizens of hell, a seemingly endless task. This is the same role played by Chinese, Russian and other socialists, who educated the masses to the extent, that they could collectively create a new system….Socialism, not Barbarism.
And the thing is, this is a vow, not a strategy. Regardless of current or foreseeable result, our vow and task is to keep CONSCIOUSNESS alive, so as to finally liberate ourselves and all the people.
Chris Hedges said, “I don’t fight fascists because I think I will win, I fight fascists because they are fascists.”
That is our job.
